Four individuals have been apprehended following the theft of a Pokémon card valued at over $300,000, which occurred north of Toronto over the weekend. According to York Regional Police (YRP), the incident unfolded in a parking lot located in the Jane Street and Rutherford Road area at 10 p.m. on Saturday.

The victim had arranged to sell the card, identified as a 1999 Charizard No. 4 card, for $7,000 at the time of the theft. Two years ago, a similar card had fetched a staggering US$336,000 at auction. During the incident, two suspects approached the victim from a vehicle, with one snatching the card and fleeing back to the waiting vehicle.

When the victim attempted to pursue the suspects, one allegedly brandished a knife. The suspects then fled the scene, but the victim managed to note their license plate number. Subsequently, the vehicle was tracked to Toronto, where arrests were made in the Parliament Street and Richmond Street East area. The apprehended individuals include Haaron Farah, 20, of Toronto, and three teenagers aged 16 and 17. Charges brought against them include possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
