Hamilton pizzeria wins best cheese slice in the world at International pizza challenge in las vegas

If you're on the hunt for the world's finest cheese pizza, your search ends in Hamilton, thanks to Cowabunga pizzeria.


This local gem recently clinched the top spot for best slice of cheese pizza at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas, much to the delight of co-owner Andy Huynh and his team of dedicated pizzamakers. What sets Cowabunga's pizza apart is its meticulously crafted dough, made from a sourdough starter that undergoes a 72-hour fermentation process.


To ensure their dough remained in prime condition, Huynh and co-owner Justin Tanda took the extra step of preparing it ahead of their trip to Las Vegas, carefully transporting portions in both checked and carry-on luggage, alongside frozen fruit to maintain its freshness.
